Privacy Policy

Effective July 3, 2026 · Last updated July 3, 2026

The honest version: we make a podcast, not a data empire. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to tell us to knock it off. We wrote it to actually be read — a low bar for a privacy policy, we know.

TL;DR (for people who value their time)

  • We collect what you hand us (like a guest or sponsor inquiry) and a little standard web data.
  • We use cookies and analytics to see if anyone's actually listening. Metaphorically and literally.
  • We don't sell your personal information. Partly on principle, partly because we can barely give away ad slots.
  • You can opt out of the tracking bits, and you have real rights over your data. Details below.

This Privacy Policy explains how Production Under Pressure ("we," "us," or "the show"), a podcast produced by Peachtree Rose Marketing, handles information when you visit productionunderpressure.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to this policy. If you don't, the exits are clearly marked (your browser's back button).

01Who we are

The Site is operated by Peachtree Rose Marketing on behalf of Jay Holland and Production Under Pressure. For anything privacy-related, reach a human at hello@productionunderpressure.com. Yes, a real person reads it.

02What we collect

Information you give us

When you fill out a guest or sponsor inquiry, subscribe, or email us, we collect what you type: typically your name, email address, and whatever's in the message field. If you write your life story in there, that's on you, but we'll keep it to ourselves.

Information collected automatically

Like nearly every website on the internet, our Site and its tools automatically collect certain technical data when you visit: IP address, browser type, device and operating system, referring pages, the pages you view, and timestamps. It's the digital equivalent of counting who walked through the door — not reading their diary.

For the record: we collect less about you than your group chat does. And we're far less likely to screenshot it.

03Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies (the digital kind — sadly non-edible) and similar technologies to make the Site work, remember preferences, and understand how it's used. Some are set by us; others by third parties whose tools we use, described below.

  • Essential cookies keep the Site functioning. Turning these off breaks things, which is nobody's idea of fun.
  • Analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics) help us see which episodes and pages people actually visit.
  • Advertising cookies, if and when we run ads, may be set by Google and its partners to serve and measure ads — including personalized ones based on your prior visits to this and other sites.

Under Google's policies, note that third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to the Site or other websites, and Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on that activity. You can review how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

04How we use your information

  • To run, maintain, and improve the Site (and figure out which jokes land).
  • To respond to guest, sponsor, and general inquiries.
  • To measure and analyze traffic and performance.
  • To keep the Site secure and to prevent abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations, because "we didn't feel like it" is not a recognized legal defense.

05Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Site, and only as needed. These may include:

  • Analytics — Google Analytics.
  • Advertising — Google (AdSense/Ads), if and when we run ads.
  • Media embeds — YouTube and Spotify, when you play embedded episodes (their players may set their own cookies).
  • Hosting & email — our hosting provider and email tools used to run the Site and reply to you.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't trade it for exposure, magic beans, or anything else. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or the Site.

06Your choices & rights

Everyone

  • Adjust or block cookies in your browser settings (essential ones may limit functionality).
  • Opt out of personalized Google ads via Google Ads Settings, and out of many third-party ad cookies at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
  • Opt out of Google Analytics with the GA opt-out browser add-on.

EEA / UK (GDPR)

If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

If you're a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Since we don't sell your information, that last one is already handled — you're welcome.

To exercise any of these, email hello@productionunderpressure.com. We may need to verify your identity first, for obvious reasons.

07Consent (EU/UK visitors)

Where required, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, consistent with Google's EU User Consent Policy and applicable law. You can change or withdraw your choices via our cookie controls at any time.

08Children's privacy

This Site is meant for grown-ups who work in insurance, not kids. It's not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable), and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

09Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements — then we get rid of it. We're not hoarders.

10Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. "Reasonable" is doing some heavy lifting in that sentence, but we mean it — no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and anyone who promises otherwise is selling something.

11International data transfers

We operate in the United States, and our providers may process your information there or elsewhere. If you're visiting from a region with different data laws, you understand your information may be processed in the US.

12Third-party links & embeds

The Site links to and embeds third-party content (YouTube, Spotify, and others). Once you leave our Site or press play, their privacy policies apply — not ours. We can't be responsible for what happens in someone else's house.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top. We will not, however, mail you a scented letter about it — so check back now and then if this sort of thing keeps you up at night.

14Contact us

Questions, requests, or strongly-worded feedback about privacy? Email hello@productionunderpressure.com — a human reads every one.

This policy is provided for general informational purposes and isn't legal advice. Replace the bracketed placeholders and have it reviewed by counsel before publishing.
